My most recent book, “Limping Toward the Styx” is a collection of new short stories and poems - 2023. They comprise my creative production since the publication of “Along the Way” (2020), my first collection of short stories. It was nominated for the 27th Annual Colorado Independent Publishers Association (CIPA) EVVY Awards as one of the Best Independent Published Books of 2021. .

As I stumble near the end of my eighth decade, that history has provided me with much raw material for my short fiction and poetry. As always, my objective is to write imaginatively about intimate experiences that provide the reader with universal insight.

As might be expected at this late stage of my long life, my writing often displays a preoccupation with mortality. As noted in one of my poems -

All stories are about mortality/It’s the end of every drama.
